BIO
John is a Canadian film director with 12 years of experience in film and digital media. He’s directed two feature films distributed by SONY Pictures, Columbia TriStar airing on AMC, FREEFROM, HBO CANADA, CRAVE, CTV MOVIES, SONY MOVIE CHANNEL and SHOWTIME. 

As a director, John is fortunate to have worked with actors including Will Sasso and Colm Feore. He recently collaborated with renowned writer/director Joe Carnahan (THE GREY, THE A-TEAM) as the previz artist on the action/thriller SHADOW FORCE for LIONSGATE.

John’s been nominated for 6 Alberta Film and Television awards and directed the winning “Best Actress” performance for Julie Orton’s portrayal of Claire Saint in EVERFALL.  

On the commercial side John has written, directed and edited spots for MASTERCARD & HP, and worked with luxury brands including Sotheby's. He’s created national spots airing on CBC and is a fluent and passionate digital creator.

Alberta Film and Television Awards: ‘Everfall’ is nominated for 7-awards, winning the Best Actress catagory. Personal nominations include: Best Director, Best Editor, Best Dramatic Feature over 30 mins.

Alberta Film and Television Awards: ‘A Miracle On Christmas Lake’ is nominated for 9-awards. Personal nominations include: Best Director, Best Editor, Best Dramatic Feature over 30 mins.
